If
you have always wanted to see a Golden Eagle or a Sea Eagle or an Otter,
there is an excellent chance that your wish will come true on Mull. The Isle of Mull
is a wild, mountainous and incredibly beautiful Hebridean island with a
coastline of approx 300 miles. It is reckoned by many to have the most varied
scenery in the whole of Britain. The wildlife and, in particular the bird
life, is extremely diverse.
Birds of prey abound on Mull - Hen Harrier, Short-eared Owl, Peregrine Falcon. Merlin and, of course, two of the mightiest birds of prey of all, the Golden Eagle and the White-tailed Sea Eagle with its wingspan of almost nine feet! Red Deer and Porpoise can all be seen at certain times of the year, as can Dolphins and Basking Sharks.
