Mull is the ideal stopping off point for our “other islands” – IONA, STAFFA, LUNGA and ULVA.
Cradle of Christianity for Scotland with the Abbey set up by St Columba and his monks some 1450 years ago and burial place of 15 Scottish kings – including Macbeth.
World Heritage Site and home to the famous Fingal’s Cave as well as the lesser-known Boat Cave and Clamshell Cave, also good for puffins in season.
Bird sanctuary and THE place to see, not only the cute wee puffins but also many other sea-bird species and all up close and personal.
Alleged birth-place of Lachlan Macquarrie, first Governor- General of New South Wales as well as being the site of a rare Thomas Telford church and…. those other basalt columns as found mainly on Staffa
